Frequently Asked Questions
What is a miniature paintover (photo edit)?
A paintover is a type of digital photo edit made specifically for tabletop miniatures. I take your painted model photo and add cinematic lighting, effects, and backgrounds to make it look like it belongs in a battle scene. Many people call this a “photo edit,” but in the miniature hobby, we use the term “paintover” to describe this style of artistic enhancement.
How do I commission a paintover?
Go to the Commission Page, upload your photo, and choose your package. I’ll confirm details and start work.
How long does it take?
Most pieces are completed within a few days. Larger or more complex projects may take longer, but I’ll confirm timelines up front.
What do I receive?
A high-resolution JPG/PNG for sharing online, plus an optional print-ready file.
Can I use my paintover commercially?
Personal use is included (sharing online, prints for yourself). Commercial use (box art, company promos) requires a custom agreement.
Do you work with Warhammer and other tabletop models?
Yes. I work with Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, and other tabletop miniatures. I’m not affiliated with Games Workshop, but many clients send GW models.
Do you work internationally?
Yes — everything is handled digitally, so I work with hobbyists worldwide
Do you edit things other than miniatures?
My focus is miniatures, but I’ve also done dioramas, terrain, cosplay and other hobby photos, as well as custom illustrations.
Seen across the hobby
White Dwarf, Mantic Games box art, Adepticon, Black Library.
