What the Empire is All About

I’m the founder of Artists Empire. But really, this place is built by all of us. Hobbyists, painters, and dreamers sharing our creations. Growing up, my best times were teaming up with friends to sketch comics and craft role-playing adventures. We’d lose hours building worlds together. That love for collaborative creativity stuck with me and shaped everything here.

My art journey kicked off in the 1990s with traditional illustration for games, bringing characters and scenes to life. By the 2010s I owned my own studio where I worked as art director. Those experiences honed my traditional and digital skills, including tools like Procreate. That illustration background is why these photo edits read like key art, not filters.

Then the miniature hobby sparked something new: taking your painted minis and enhancing them with cinematic photo edits, adding lighting, atmosphere, and story so your mini looks like it does in your head.

The real magic happened when the community embraced it. Hobbyists started sharing my edits widely, which led to:

  • White Dwarf magazine (465 and 500)
  • Mantic Games box art
  • Adepticon marquee spotlight

Today, with events like #FreePaintoverDay, we’re all about spotlighting your work and leveling up together. As we grow, and with a zine launch down the line, let’s keep crafting this empire together. What’s your story? Share a mini, and let’s collaborate.
